About Emily
My name is Emily Herron. I live in Franklin, Tennessee, by way of Scottsdale, Arizona.
I'm surrounded by boys: three little guys under six, one Saint Bernard, and my husband of eight years—who, depending on the day, could also qualify as toddler number four. 😉
One could say I don't do well being bored. Others may say I don't know how to relax. Both are true.
By day, I am the VP of Client Success for 6AM City, a digital publishing company. Definitely subscribe to NASHtoday if you live near Nashville, TN and here's a list of all of our cities. I teach at barre3 Franklin, and whenever I find a blank wall begging for some personality (or inspiration strikes), I hop on the creative train and go to town.
I've spent years painting with acrylics and, more recently, have found myself drawn to watercolor.
In March of 2026, our 15-month-old suffered a severe burn accident from hot coffee that turned our family's life upside down for a few months. We were completely overwhelmed by God's love and the support our family received from family and friends and complete strangers.
During that season, I pulled out the watercolor set I'd bought back in 2010 and painted 37 unique thank-you cards. With every card, I was reminded just how much a simple 5×7 piece of paper—with a thoughtful note and a hand-painted image—can mean.
Whether it's framed on a wall or sent to mark a meaningful moment, I believe we should surround ourselves—and our people—with things that bring joy, preserve memories, and remind people they're loved.
Jones is doing great by the way! Besides routine check-ups, we're hoping his scarring won't require any additional surgeries. Shoutout to all of our angels at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville. You all are so special and we can't thank you enough for taking such good care of us during that time.
